Sometimes, snowflake patterns can look a bit simple or boring, so we wanted to create our own embroidery kit, which is perfect for complete novices, but looks really sophisticated. We have used a combination of DMC stranded cotton and Appletons crewel wool, both in shades of white, to stitch the outline of the snowflake using backstitch. After completing the stitching, we teach you how to sew on white and crystal seed beads, to add a bit of festive sparkle to your snowflake. The kit contains everything you will need, except a pair of scissors, so you will be ready to start stitching (or gift wrapping!) as soon as the kit arrives.
There are so many things that you can do with the decoration once you have finished stitching it; you could hang it up in your home - the beads will really twinkle under the fairy lights! Another lovely idea is to make the snowflake decoration as a handmade gift to give to someone who needs a little bit of extra love this Christmas - you do the stitching, but let a friend display it in their home. We have included some white gingham ribbon for you to hang the decoration from, which we show you how to attach in the instructions.
