Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, feedback or special commission requests. We have listed some of our Frequently Asked Questions below, so hopefully they can help you. However, if you would prefer to contact us directly, don't hesitate to scroll to the bottom of the page and send us a message - we will reply to you as quickly as we can!

What is included in a Kirsty Freeman Design craft kit?

Each kit contains:
2x needles
one for doing the embroidery & one for adding the beads
detailed instructions
including our top tips, written step by step instructions, diagrams and photographs; you also have access to video tutorials to help you too
fabric
cross stitch kits are supplied with 14 count aida, embroidery kits are supplied with a beautiful linen fabric, with either a pre-printed or pre-stitched outline - with embroidery kits you also get a piece of backer to double up with your fabric, this adds stability, density and is easy to stitch through
embroidery hoop
3" kits include a bamboo embroidery hoop, all other kit sizes include an Elbesee hardwood embroidery hoop, which are manufactured in the UK
embroidery threads
we make sure you always have plenty of threads to complete the kit (you will probably have quite a lot left over at the end to use an another project!), the threads we use include DMC stranded cotton, Appletons crewel wool and Handweaver's Studio yarns, check the individual product page to see which are included in each kit
seed beads
there are plenty of beads to embellish your project with, and to add a few extra if you wish
bobbin of thread
this is for adding the beads, it is really thin and strong, so perfect for fitting into the eye of the beading needle

Can I leave a review?

Of course! I love to hear your feedback, and as a customer, it is always so helpful to hear the thoughts of someone else too. If you head to the product page of the item you would like to review, you can scroll down to the bottom and leave a review. I know it takes precious time out of your day to leave a review, but I really appreciate it when you do, so a massive thank you!!

Do you use eco-friendly packaging?

Absolutely! It is really important to us to be as environmentally friendly as we can. Each kit is packaged in tissue paper inside a cardboard box, ensuring it is a delight to open, but is fully recyclable.
The only plastic we use is for the little bags that the seed beads are supplied in - however the bags are resealable, so please don’t throw these away, but you can use them again for storing beads, snippets of thread, needles or other bits and pieces.
Your kit will be sent through the post wrapped in brown paper as this is the most eco-friendly way to send your parcels - no excess cardboard and no plastic. The paper is sealed with brown paper tape, which again, is fully recyclable.
We also work with UK suppliers wherever possible, to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure that we use only the best quality materials on the market.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Please see our Shipping Policy for more information.

Can I purchase just the pattern and use my own materials to recreate your design?

Yes, you can purchase an instant download PDF for the majority of my kit designs, however, these are exclusively available over on my Etsy Store.

What if I love the design, but want to change the colours?

I love seeing you put your own twist on my designs, so definitely feel free to change the colours. You are more than welcome to do this yourself by purchasing your own threads to replace the ones I have supplied. Alternatively, I am more than happy to customise the fabric/thread/bead colours in the kit for you (this will include an extra cost to cover the extra work involved). If this is something you are interested in, please complete the form below & I can send you a custom quote depending on the changes you would like to make.

Can I commission you to design an embroidery kit of my pet or for a special occasion?

Of course - I love working on one off kits that are completely unique, so let me know your ideas for a custom embroidery kit! Obviously a lot of work goes into designing one off kits, as they are created from scratch, which makes them a lot more expensive than my normal kits. Prices start at £100, but are determined by the size, detail, style and amount of work involved, so please get in touch below if you would like to discuss a commissioned embroidery kit.
