Welcome a new life into the world with our birth announcement embroidery kit! We have created this kit to help you stitch a unique embroidery, personalised with the name and date of birth of a special new baby.

If you are searching for a unique gift to celebrate the arrival of a new baby, and fancy spending some time being creative - this is the kit for you. Just enter the names you would like to personalise the kit with, and Kirsty will write them for you in her own handwriting, before printing the design onto the fabric for you. You can choose to enter one or two names - a single name, a first and middle name, or a first name and surname are all great options! There is also an option to add the date of birth to the bottom of the design, alternatively, we are happy for you to choose to just leave it blank, or only add the year of birth, if you don’t want to be too specific. 

We have designed the kit to be suitable for complete beginners, so don’t worry if you don’t have much, or any previous experience with embroidery. The kit uses two simple stitches: back stitch and satin stitch. To make it as easy for you as possible, we include very detailed instructions with every single one of our kits, so you know exactly what to do and can be confident to get stuck in. We combine written instructions with photographs, diagrams and the option to watch video tutorials, to help you along with the project - if you need any extra help, we are always more than happy to hear from you as well, just pop us a message! Alongside teaching you some embroidery basics, we have included some seed beads for you to add to your hoop - if you are a more advanced embroiderer, you may not have used beads before, but we love adding a bit of texture and sparkle to our designs! Just follow the directions in the instructions, which explain where to add beads and show you how to stitch them onto the fabric.

• Linen/Cotton Mix Fabric with Pre-Printed Outline (personalised with your chosen details)
• Backer (placed behind the fabric)
• 7” Embroidery Hoop (Elbesee Hardwood Hoop)
• Threads (Stranded Cotton, Crewel Wool)
• Seed Beads (Size 11 Toho Seed Beads)
• Bobbin of Thread (for attaching beads)
• Organic Cotton Bag (for storing your kit)

You will need... some embroidery scissors!
