To keep the project fun and engaging, each motif should take you around half an hour to stitch each day (it all depends on how quickly you stitch!) - the exception being the Christmas Tree you will stitch in the centre on Day 1 which will take a bit longer.

So, how do you use the advent calendar cross stitch kit? You will receive the kit beautifully packaged inside an organic cotton bag, which is perfect for storing the project whilst you're not stitching. Inside the bag, you'll receive general instructions, needles, fabric and an embroidery hoop, alongside 25 individually numbered paper bags. Each day, you can find the numbered bag that corresponds to the date and inside will find everything you need to stitch your motif for the day: specific instructions, threads and beads, alongside any additional materials you may need. The instructions will take you through how to use the advent calendar by guiding you through the project step-by-step.

Why pick an advent calendar craft kit? If you're like me, a chocolate advent calendar is no longer top of my list of ways to countdown to Christmas! This prompted me to create the cross stitch advent calendar, which offers a daily space to be creative and spend half an hour relaxing and unwinding from the day. What’s Inside the Advent Calendar Cross Stitch Kit?

The simple answer is: everything you need! The only thing not included that you'll need is a pair of scissors!

Your advent cross stitch kit arrives beautifully packaged inside a cotton bag which holds all of the kit materials:

• 2x Needles (1x John James embroidery needle, 1x beading needle)
• Full Instructions (A5 size booklet)
• 14 Count White Aida Fabric

Inside your cotton bag, you will also receive 25x smaller paper bags, each numbered with the day they are to be opened. All of the materials you will need for each day will be inside its own bag. Each day, you will receive a selection from the below list:

• Threads (Stranded Cotton for each day)
• Seed Beads (Size 11 Toho Seed Beads for each day)
• Bobbin of Thread (for attaching beads)
