One of the things that we love most about embroidery at Kirsty Freeman Design is how adaptable stitches are. Experimenting with using different types and thicknesses of thread can create lots of different outcomes even when using the same stitches. We have included a range of stranded cotton and crewel wool in different colours, so you can experience creating a range of textures within your stitching. Just follow the key which will show you where to use each different type of thread, or feel free to experiment and do your own thing! You will also learn some of our unique stitch patterns that we have designed by adapting simple straight stitches and french knots to create some new stitches for you to learn. To create some stitch patterns, we have used beads to add a hint of sparkle and to help you learn some basic bead embroidery too!
Animal crafts kits are our specialty, and we just love giving each creature we design their own personality. We knew when we created the squirrel that we wanted to give it a really natural, ‘woodland’ feel, so we’ve given him a little acorn, which we hope you are really excited to stitch! This modern design includes everything needed to complete the kit, except for a pair of scissors, making it a great gift! Whether you plan to give the kit as a present to a creative friend, or stitch the hoop yourself to give the finished embroidery as a gift, we hope that this little squirrel, filled with character will make them smile, whatever the occasion. - Seed Beads (Size 11 Toho Seed Beads)
- Bobbin of Thread (for attaching beads)
