As a creative person, there is nothing more exciting than making personalised gifts for special occasions, to show your friends how much they mean to you. However, sometimes it can be really difficult to know where to start and decide what to make. We have tried to make the process really easy for you - sorting out the design and colours, customising the fabric for you, and supplying you with all of the resources you need to create a one-of-a-kind embroidery. All you need to do is let us know what information you want adding to the design, and we will get your kit posted out for you, ready for you to get stuck into the embroidery straight away, with no fuss or hassle.
Whether you have plenty of experience doing embroidery, or are a complete beginner, we have designed the kit to be simple to make, but to teach you something new. Two fundamental embroidery stitches are used to complete the kit: satin stitch and back stitch, which you will learn through our comprehensive instruction booklet. You will get the opportunity to use different types of threads to stitch these - stranded cotton, which is the usual type of thread you will find in embroidery kits, and crewel wool, which you may never have used before. We love mixing the two together to create an interesting combination of textures and offer plenty of variations for you to stitch. Inside your kit, you will also receive a selection of seed beads, which add just a small hint of sparkle to the design, which again, are very rarely included in embroidery kits. - 7” Embroidery Hoop (Elbesee Hardwood Hoop)
- Threads (DMC Stranded Cotton, Appletons Crewel Wool, (Pink colourway only - Handweaver’s Studio Tencel Yarn))
- Seed Beads (Size 11 Toho Seed Beads)
- Bobbin of Thread (for attaching beads)
