The wedding embroidery kit makes it easy for you to create a handmade gift, supplying you with all of the materials you need, and a design that is ready to start embroidering straight away. It can be difficult to know where to begin if you’re trying to make a custom embroidery - which fabric, threads and colours to use, what to add to the design, and wondering if it will look good when it’s finished… This is why we have done all of those bits for you, so you don’t have to worry about them! Your kit will be one-of-a-kind, as it will be personalised with the details you choose, but it works like all of our other embroidery kits: your fabric is pre-printed with the complete design, all of the materials you need are included and you have really clear instructions to follow, so you can be confident that you will create a beautiful gift!
We often get asked if you can customise the colours of the design, to fit with the couple’s taste, wedding colours or a specific room in their home. The answer is - absolutely! Let us know in the drop-down box above whether you would like to choose your own colours or not - we do have to charge £6 extra for customising the colours, due to the extra work involved in selecting different threads and beads, adapting the instructions and assembling each of the customised parts of the kit. You can see some previous examples of custom colours that have been requested in the photographs above to give you some ideas, if you don’t already have specific shades in mind. You can be as vague or specific as you like, and we are more than happy to match colours to swatches if you have exact shades you would like to use.
If you have decided to choose your own colours, please look out for an email from us, as we will send you an image showing what the kit will look like, for you to approve before we get the kit packed and sent out to you. This is just to make sure you are happy, and have the opportunity to request any changes. Please note that the sticker on the front of your kit will show the standard colourway, but the kit enclosed will include your chosen colours. If this is a problem, please let us know and we will see what we can do!
We will include all of the materials you need to complete the kit:
- 2x Needles (1x John James embroidery needle, 1x beading needle)
- Full Instructions (A4 size booklet)
- Linen Fabric with Pre-Printed Outline (personalised with your chosen details)
- Backer (placed behind the fabric)
- 7” Embroidery Hoop (Elbesee Hardwood Hoop)
- Threads (DMC Stranded Cotton, Appletons Crewel Wool, Handweaver’s Studio Tencel Yarn (yarn types may differ for custom coloured kits))
- Seed Beads (Size 11 Toho Seed Beads)
- Bobbin of Thread (for attaching beads)
