In case you hadn’t already guessed, we absolutely love flowers, plants and anything botanical here at Kirsty Freeman Design! We wanted to recreate some of our favourite blooms using bright, pretty colours and lots of texture. Inside your kit, we have included both stranded cotton and crewel wool, which have really contrasting textures and levels of shine, adding a lot of depth to the flowers. The design has been created by combining these threads with seed beads to fill each section of the pattern with embroidery. To make sure the kit is suitable for beginners, but also offers something new to those with embroidery experience, we have created this design using our own patterned embroidery stitches, which create a really geometric feel. We teach you each of the new stitches through a combination of step by step diagrams, colour keys and written instructions, with the option to watch video demos too.
We hope you find this kit really relaxing and you enjoy spending time being creative. Whether you would consider yourself to be a crafty person or not, the beauty of doing an embroidery kit is that it combines creativity with structure and precision, making it the perfect hobby for all kinds of people. Doing embroidery is a great way to practise self-care and look after your mental health, and what better subject to stitch than a bunch of beautiful flowers, full of pattern, texture and colour. Once you have finished your embroidery, the instructions show you how to use the embroidery hoop as a frame, ready to present your stitching on a shelf or hang on the wall. You could display your hoop at home, or give it to someone special as a gift, either way, we hope you feel a real sense of achievement over what you have created!
To make the embroidery process easy and stress free, we have included all of the materials you will need inside the kit. All you will need to supply is a pair of scissors, and we'll provide the rest - the list of what you will receive is as below:
