An autumn cross stitch kit, the perfect project for long dark evenings at home!
We absolutely love stitching onto dark backgrounds here at Kirsty Freeman Design! There’s just something about the way that colours pop and how satisfying it is to add pale colours onto a dark fabric. We’ve chosen some gorgeous shades of orange and red for you to use to create your mushroom, alongside the white thread included for you to create the spots on your toadstool and scatter some snow in the background. Alongside your stranded cotton, we have also included some white seed beads for you to add a little bit of sparkle to your mushroom and a subtle shine to your snow. We’ll take you through the project in our detailed instruction booklet, which will demonstrate each stitch, share our top tips and show you how to present your hoop once you have finished stitching. You will also receive cross stitch and back stitch charts to help you place each of your stitches in the correct place and to follow throughout the project.
If you’re dreading long evenings at home now the nights are drawing in, you don’t need to! Picking up a new hobby (or spending time on an existing one) can really help you to have something to look forward to and help you feel productive. There is something so relaxing about following a chart and stitching crosses in your aida - it’s a great way to put your feet up and keep your mind busy at the same time!
To make the project as easy as possible for you to complete, we have included all of the resources you will need to stitch the kit. The only thing you need to provide is a pair of scissors! You will receive all of the materials below:
- 2x Needles (1x John James embroidery needle, 1x beading needle)
- Full Instructions including Cross Stitch Charts (A5 size booklet & A4 size charts)
- 14 Count Navy Blue Aida Fabric
- 6” Embroidery Hoop (Elbesee Hardwood Hoop)
- Threads (Stranded Cotton)
- Seed Beads (Size 11 Toho Seed Beads)
- Bobbin of Thread (for attaching beads)
